Charles Hollis Jones three-seat sofa

Stunning sofa designed by Charles Hollis Jones in the mid 70s. A unique design with a diversity in materials such as lucite, brass, wood and leather. Jones was a pioneer in the use of acrylic and lucite into furniture design. At the time, these kind of materials were not commonly used as a materials for upscale furniture and art. Jones, recognizing their potential, began creating unique plastic pieces for some of the city s most renowned showrooms. Celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Lucille Ball and Johnny Carson commissioned Jones to design pieces for their homes. The three-seat sofa is in excellent condition, the lucite base is illuminated which gives the sofa a glowing look, the seat has beautiful geometrical lines and is very comfortable.
