The company Herman Miller was founded in 1905 in Michigan under they name Star Furniture . They produced high quality furniture in differed styles. Architect George nelson joined the firm as director of design in 1945. He introduced Ray and Charles Eames as designers into the company. Together they produced some iconic pieces of modern furniture. This dining table dates from 1964 and has a laminate top with aluminum base. The table is labeled underneath with the Herman Miller Logo and dates in a very good condition.
