Wim Rietveld, son of iconic figure Gerrit Rietveld, carried on the family tradition of daring modern furniture design with this stylized table and chairs. Similar in style to the Prouve furniture of the same period, with the graceful tapered metal pyramid legs. The paint is all original, and shows some minor areas of loss. The desktop surface is ivory colored laminate, and in fine original condition. The design is elegant in its understated simplicity.
