Willy Van Der Meeren Kitchen Cabinet

Former Tubax owner Jan Vits met Wily Van Der Meeren in 1950 at the Brussels design competition Jeune Decoration. This meeting was the start of a successful collaboration wich will last for many years. Van Der Meeren made accessible designs and combined a modern approach with a great simplicity of materials. This cabinet is a perfect example of his inventive designs of that period. It has been dating from the mid fifties and shows a great eye for derail and color. The cabinet has 3 sliding doors, 2 drawers and a sliding center piece that can be used as a small table or cutting board. This functional add makes this cabinet a perfect item for the kitchen. All in good and original condition.
