Exceptional Large 1950's Sideboard

This rare and massive 50s sideboard is one of a kind. With its 3m20 length, it is one of the largest sideboards I have ever found. The sideboard is made out of a quarter cut veneer and has a high gloss finish. The four drawers and shelves inside offer plenty of storage space. The honey colored sideboard rests on a black lacquered base, detailed with brass feet. The drawers have a slightly darker tone, which gives the sideboard a nice contrast. The fluent pagoda-style shape that translates itself in the base but also on the top edges, gives this sideboard an oriental look. This particular shape and different color tones gives this piece a cinematic feel. It also reminds me of an older James Bond movie ‘ You only live twice’. To me this would be a perfect add to the interiors seen in that movie. So far I couldn’t find back the designer or manufacturer. But when I look at the detail in workmanship, this sideboard could be Belgian made.
