Matteo Thun & Andrea Lera wwf Tower Bieffeplast

Matteo Thun was one of the co-founders of the Memphis group. This design movement brought shape, form and style throughout the 80s, later on the Italian designer worked as a creative director for Swatch. Today he is still active as an architect. This Zerodue WWF Tower floor lamp was designed by Matteo Thun and Andrea Lera in 1985 for Bieffeplast, as a part of the Stillight series. Forms and signs of the fortified architecture in a table-lamp collection. There is also a nice Video on Vimeo that is called the “ THE HEAVY DRESS “ by Matteo Thun, where these light building’s where exposed 1986 in the Museum of fine Arts in Vienna. This impressive lamp is made out of grey painted steel, partly perforated and has a red switch. When the lamp is turned on, it has a city / skyline feel impression.
