Graphical cabinet made out of black lacquered oak, designed and built in the 1970s. The geometrical pattern on the doors is adding an impressive look to the design. A stunning work of originality and craftsmanship that would fit nice in a brutalist inspired interior. Inside the cabinet has plenty of shelves and a bottle holder to store your finest drinks. This type of furniture is often linked to the Belgian company De Coene. After doing research it seems that this design is not related to De Coene, but to the Belgian company Defour. Defour was based in Hooglede and runned by the brothers Frans and Herman Defour. They had a progressive style of furniture design which the company received congratulations for from the Department of Economic Affairs in 1955. This was confirmed by Noël Hostens, who owns the whole archive of De Coene.
