Florence Knoll console / side table 1960s

Florence Knoll studied architecture under Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Eliel Saarinen before joining her husband in the company. Florence Knoll took over the company after her husband passed away in 1955.  She developed her style towards modernism.

This elegant console table or side table is dating from the 1960s. It has a chromed base and wooden cabinet top with small but normal signs of aging? The design was purchased in the early '70s for the offices of the Chase Manhattan bank in New York. It was David Rockefeller himself who decided that all the Bank's furniture was to be supplied by Knoll International.
