Jos de Mey floating sideboard Van Den Berghe Pauvers 1960s

Jos de Mey floating sideboard Van Den Berghe Pauvers 1960s

I'm always on the lookout for Belgian sideboards with a unique story and value. I recently came across this floating sideboard by Jos De Mey, made in Belgium in the 1960s by the company Van Den Berghe Pauvers.

Jos De Mey was a Belgian furniture designer and painter, active mainly in the 1950s and 60s. This floating sideboard is part of the costume made series he designed for Van Den Berghe Pauvers. This large size, which makes it unique and decorative, is hard to find. The sideboard has 4 outside drawers and 3 sliding doors. The sliding doors are detailed with brass door handles and 1 door has a white formica front. The sideboard stands in a very good, original condition.
