Gino Sarfatti Metal and Glass ' Le Sfere Plafone 2042/3' Ceiling Lamp for Arteluce

Gino Sarfatti was an Italian designer and a pioneer in lighting design. In 1939, he founded Arteluce, through which he developed many innovative lighting models. Sarfatti combined technical expertise with aesthetics, constantly experimenting with new materials, forms, and lighting technologies. His work received international recognition and earned him awards such as the Compasso d’Oro in 1954 and 1955. Gino Sarfatti is regarded as one of the greatest designers of the 20th century. This 'Le Sfere Plafone 2042/3' ceiling lamp was designed in 1963. It has has a painted steel mount and 3 glass spheres gently held in place by a painted steel ring. The lamp is labeled the original Arteluce sticker. Stands in a very good, original condition.
