Frans Van Praet is not only a designer, but also an artist and interior decorator. His designs are closely related to the spaces he decorates. He specializes in (re)installations and renovations of private homes and commercial buildings. One of his most famous interior project would be The Belgian Pavilion at the Sevilla World EXPO 1992. For this project he designed the Sevilla chair in collaboration with Val St Lambert , who are specialised in crystal glassworks. This set of 12 Van Praet chairs is unique on its own. It has a playful design with geometric shapes who are crossing each other. Mostly this type of chair is found with a perforated metal back frame. This set is upholstered in a brown velvet fabric, which makes the metal legs come out beautifully.
