American artist Ellsworth Kelly redefined abstraction in art. Terms as color field painting and minimalism are keynotes to his work. Kelly established himself through his drawings, paintings, sculptures and prints as one of the most important artists of his era. His work reflects on the daily shapes and forms of nature, architecture and shadows. This Blue and Yellow lithograph was released on the occasion of Kellys first exhibition at Galerie Maeght Paris, June 1965 . The poster of this exhibition reflects also on this work. The lithograph is signed and numbered 23/90 .
