Amphora coffee table 1960

Vermilion red coffee table produced by Amphora, Belgium. Ceramist Rogier Vandeweghe has build up the company together with his wife and ceramic painter Myranna Pyck in the early sixties. They produced ceramic vases , tiles and tables with strong colors and different types of glazing. Before Amphora, Rogier Vandeweghe runned Perignem together with his brother Laurent. This table dates from the mid sixties and is a perfect example of the bright color use and glazing.
