Highly decorative 70s prototype lamp designed by Belgian designer Christian Krekels. Before becoming a sculptor, Krekels specialized himself in the field of diamond and studied at the Institute of Arts Saint-Luc in Tournai. Later on he used his knowledge of materials such as quarts, agate and crystals into his designs and reworks them into pieces of furniture, tables or lights. This lamp is a perfect example of the various techniques Krekels used in this designs. The smoky quartz lamp is mounted on a brass base and shade. A dark brown wooden base is adding a perfect hight and decorative value to the lamp. This one of a kind prototype lamp of Christian Krekels comes with a handwritten certificate of the designer himself.
