Alvar Aalto Artek Tank Chair

Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto was one of the pioneers in Modernist design. His work includes architecture, furniture, textiles and glassware, as well as sculptures and paintings. Together with his wife Aino Aalto he worked together on many projects. They would design not just the architecture, but give special treatments to the interior surfaces and design furniture, lamps and furnishings. This early edition tank chair was Produced by Artek in Sweden that was founded in 1935 in Helsinki. Co-founder of this company was Aino Aalto. The chair contains in original condition and has still its original detailed upholstery.
