Hard to find spiral table lamp by was designed in the 60s by Carlo Nason for Mazzega Italy. Glass artist Carlo Nason is well known for his use of historical techniques in producing inventive lamps, vases, and sculptures. As a kid he was involved very quickly in the process of glassblowing, as his family is one of the island of Murano’s oldest glass blowing families. Today, his works are in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. This unique lamp has a brushed steel case that holds two textured circles in Murano glass. The spiral pattern on the glass sketches a nice shadow - drawing when the lamp lights up. Very decorative and in all good condition.
