Dutch designer Kho Liang Ie is best known for his furniture design at Artifort. To the Dutch, however, he is considered as one of the most significant talents of 20th-century design. This first edition K46 lamp was designed in the late 50s for de Bijenkorf department store in Rotterdam. The production went by Ateliers Artiforte, also based in Rotterdam. Below you can find some pictures of the original catalog from the company in the 1950s. The floor lamp has a metal base consisting out of 3 tubes and a center that fits a long TL lamp. The shade is also made out of a metal frame and cream colored thin fabric. This decorative lamp stands in a good, all original condition.
