Maarten Van Severen .03 Vitra chairs

Maarten Van Severen studied architecture at the Art Academy in Ghent. As a designer he was devoted to the examination of basic furniture types: chair, table, chaise lounge, shelving, cabinet. Van Severen developed primary solutions for these categories based on a comprehensive investigation of the questions of form, material and construction. The beginning of Van Severen´s collaboration with Vitra offered him the opportunity to work with new materials. The .03 chair is a design that dates from 1998. This pair of wine-red chairs is an edition from 2001 and stands in a good condition. Labeled on the back.
