Marcello Cuneo worked for 8 years with designer Gio Ponti. Since the 1960s, Cuneo has been a pioneer of the Italian interior and industrial design that has become so well known all over the world as a synonym of high quality design. This pair of Longobarda table lamps date from 1966 and was the first ceramic lamp cast in one piece. It was exhibited at the New York Museum of Modern Art during the Italy, new domestic landscape exhibition and at Introduction to design at the Israel Museum of Jerusalem. Both lamps stand in a very good condition.
