Estelle and Erwine Laverne produced exceptionally beautiful, innovative mid century-modern wallpapers, fabrics and furniture since the fifties. They found that furniture should not obstruct the space effect of a modern interior visually. That is why they developed furniture with round, organic forms, often of translucent Plexiglas. This set of Champagne swivel chairs was designed in 1962 for Formes Nouvelles. The brow lucite shell is attached on an aluminum swivel pedestal. Each chair has a brown leather seat. All chairs stand in a very good original condition.
