Angelo Brotto was a Venetian designer who is known for his work as a lamp designer. During the late 40s, he created pieces in Venice for Peggy Guggenheim's collection, and during his career he won many design and art awards. During the 1960s and 1970s Brotto collaborated with the Murano glassmaker Esperia and became a prolific lighting designer during this collaboration. His lamps have playful and artistic modern shapes. This Barnaba table lamp dates from the early 70s and is a collaboration with glasmaker Esperia. The lamp has a round chromed metal base with 6 chrome wire circles/rings in different sizes. It has a handmade Murano crystal glass stone with bubbles inside. The glass rock lies on top of the light source. A very decorative and inspiring lamp, standing in a very good original condition.
