Luxus Sideboard by Jos De Mey 1950s

Stunning sideboard designed by Jos De Mey, made by Luxus Kortrijk in the 1950s. As De Mey only designed for Luxus during the 50s, his designs for this company are more hard to find. I did find only a few sideboards during the past 20years, each unique in design and material use. This sideboard is fully made in a nice patterned wood. It has 4 outside drawers and 2 sliding doors each detailed with a brass door handle. Because of the extensive wood detail, the sideboard has a classic look full of character and atmosphere. This sideboard was documented in La Maison, a Belgian magazine about architecture and interior design, published from the mid 40s until the late 60s.
