Playful table or desk designed by Paolo Parigi for Heron Parigi. Paolo Parigi was born in 1936 in Florence, Italy in a family of ironworkers. As a kid, he had a special talent for drawing and craft. His first designs were made in his father's workshop and were never produced; a series of furniture objects with an iron structure: tables, armchairs and chairs. In 1964 he designed and built a drawing table for himself, called Heron. He designed a liftable and a non-liftable version of this table. The table has some of the features that will remain in his future designs: essential aesthetics, innovative mechanism and structural strength. This object immediately stands out from the products on the market and convinces the Parigi family to present the new product at the Milan Fair in 1965. His company refers to the name of the table. This version of the Heron table has a black base with green details and a table top finished with yellow formica. It can be used as a desk as well. The table stands in very good condition.
