Bergwood Console Writing Desk (Jules Wabbes)

Console / side desk produced by the Belgian company Bergwood in the 1970s. Bergwood is known for its productions of Jules Wabbes. Based on sketches that are published in the book ‘Jules Wabbes - Interior Architect’ it is not clear how this design went through under his name or not. Nevertheless the minimalistic design with bent plywood and formica are integrable in any decorative interior. The multiplex stained wood side lines contrast beautifully with the ivory colored formica. The desk can have different purposes such as a writing desk, console or a child desk. It stands in a good, well kept condition with minor signs of use.
