1970s Meccano like playful table lamp

By finding this lamp my first impression and thoughts went to an 70s meccano toy box. The base of this metal lamp is shaped like a meccano building block that has clearly inspired the designer. Having a closer look, you notice the details of the Mategot inspired shade in enameled perforated metal. It gives the lamp a refined industrial playful touch and brings a nice effect when the lamp is lit. The lamp is Italian made and dates from the late 70s. It’s standing in a used, working condition with an nice aged patina.
