George Nelson was a pioneering modernist who ranks with Raymond Loewy, Charles Eames, and Eliot Noyes as one of America's outstanding designers. Beside being a leading designer and notable architect, Nelson was also active as an author, editor and a passionate photographer. As Design Director at Herman Miller Furniture Company, he played a key role in developing the company's products and public image over more than two decades. Many modern furniture classics and exemplary interior designs have emerged from this collaboration. This dining table was designed in the 1950s and is a 1960s edition. It has a white laminated table top resting on 2 powdercoated pedestal legs. Stands in a well kept and very good condition.
