Rare Belgian dining table from the 1950s

Rare decorative dining table made in the 1950s. This Belgian made dining table features a rectangular top laminated in white formica and detailed with a warm wooden veneer at the edges. The black lacquered base literally holds the table top with six anchor points. The eye for detail makes this dining table a beautiful example of Belgian fifties design. It could be by the hand of Alfred Hendrick (Belform) or Jos de Mey who designed for the Belgian firm Luxus, who both had a large share in the post war Belgian design movement. My Personal knowledge and intuition says it is Luxus. The table was featured in the La Maison magazine of May 1959, decorated with a set of Alfred Hendrickx S3 dining chairs (as shown in the picture). The table stands in a well kept and good condition with normal traces of use.
