Jean Batenburg sideboard 1960s

Jean Batenburg sideboard 1960s

Designed by Jean Batenburg in the late 1960s, this exceptional sideboard showcases the precision and sophistication of Belgian modern craftsmanship.
Executed in black-stained oak, the sideboard features 4 drawers with finely crafted minimalist door handles. The keys are custom made to align perfectly with the dressoir’s clean architectural rhythm.
Batenburg’s design language is minimal yet expressive that feels both functional and sculptural. At the time, these sideboards were considered exclusive pieces and were never mass-produced. The sideboard stands in a nice and clean condition. There are no hard or small damages vissible. Only a soft patina that highlights its age and authenticity. I took detailed photographs to provide a clear view of the craftsmanship and condition.
