Pierre Paulin AP-14 “Anneau” Armchair for AP Polak, 1950s

Pierre Paulin AP-14 “Anneau” Armchair for AP Polak, 1950s

Rare AP-14 “Anneau” armchair designed by Pierre Paulin and produced by AP Originals in 1954. This early design, created before his famous work for Artifort, reflects Paulin’s interest in comfortable seating. The chair features a sculptural chrome-plated tubular steel frame with a suspended sling seat in beautiful cognac saddle leather. Over time, the leather has developed a warm and rich patina, adding character and authenticity to the piece.

Also known as the “Anneau” chair, the AP-14 is a striking example of mid-century modern design and a sought-after collector’s piece for admirers of early Pierre Paulin work.
