Pierre Paulin AP-14 “Anneau” Armchair for AP Polak, 1950s

Pierre Paulin AP-14 “Anneau” Armchair for AP Polak, 1950s

Rare AP-14 “Anneau” armchair designed by Pierre Paulin for AP Polak / AP Originals in the 1950s. This early Paulin design features a sculptural tubular metal frame with a suspended sling seat in beautiful cognac saddle leather. The leather has developed a warm, rich patina a character that only time can create.

Predating Paulin’s iconic Artifort period, the AP-14 is a collectible example of his early exploration of relaxed, body-responsive seating. A refined mid-century lounge chair with strong visual presence, ideal for collectors of French and Dutch modern design.
